This has been a lifelong journey, and one I am still working out.
I do not come to this as an expert with everything worked out. I come to it as someone who has lived it. For years I have navigated PCOS, now known as PMOS, and all the quiet complexity that comes with it. One of the hardest chapters was infertility.
What I learned, slowly and often the hard way, is that nutrition was the bedrock. It was the thing that helped me steady my body and, in time, become a mum, over the very hurdle that PCOS and PMOS had put in my way. That is not a small thing to me. It is the reason this work sits so close to my heart, and why it feels less like a business and more like a cause.
Along the way, I found that so much of the mainstream advice simply did not fit. Not my life, not my culture, not the food I grew up with. Plans built around meals we do not eat. Guidance that fell apart against real, busy, complicated days. So I started building the thing I wished I had had: for myself, for my two daughters, and for the many people who have been quietly left out of the conversation.
And it is not only PCOS. Our lives do not arrive one neat chapter at a time. PCOS and PMOS, perimenopause, menopause, the years of raising a family and caring for ageing parents all overlap and weave into one another. I have come to believe the support should weave together too: one companion that grows with you through every stage, rather than treating each part of you as a separate problem.
This is the first time I have been public about any of it. That is not easy, but I have come to believe the story matters more than my own comfort. If being honest about my journey helps even one person feel seen, and eat in a way that finally fits their body and their heritage, then it is worth every bit of it.
My mission is a simple one: to share what I have learned, my knowledge, my effort and my honesty, and to make this a journey we walk together, not one anyone has to face alone.
Noura is not a diet, and it is not a lecture. It is a gentle companion, made with warmth from lived experience, for living and ageing well, in the food that tastes like home. I am still finding my way. I would be honoured to walk alongside you while you find yours.
With warmth, Husna
