Read by Husna, founder of Noura
Life is full. There is not always time to sit down and read, but there is often time to listen: while the rice is on, on the school run, or on the bus home. Each episode takes one idea from trusted sources such as the NHS, the British Dietetic Association, the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK, told plainly, with one small thing to try that week.
Why the order of your plate matters, and how to build it from the food you already cook.
A new episode every week, in English first. Other languages are coming soon.
Welcome to Noura Radio. I am Husna, the founder of Noura, and I am so glad you are here.
Noura began with a simple belief: that small, consistent acts of care, held with kindness, add up over time into a healthier, kinder self. Noura is a gentle daily companion for self-care and healthy habits, rooted in your own culture, with knowledge from trusted sources.
So why a radio? Because life is full. Many of us are working, caring for children and for parents, cooking for the people we love, and travelling in between. There is not always time to sit down and read. But there is often time to listen: while the rice is on, on the school run, or on the bus home. Noura Radio brings what we know into those moments.
Every episode is short, about three minutes. Each one takes a single idea from the Noura Learn library, drawn from trusted sources such as the NHS, the British Dietetic Association, the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK. You will hear one idea, told plainly, with a real example from everyday life, and one small thing to try that week. A new episode arrives every week.
And this is only the beginning. We are preparing episodes in Hausa, Yoruba, Bengali and Nigerian Pidgin, and later in Fulfulde, because good health information should reach you in the language you speak at home. Every one will be checked by a native speaker before it is released.
Each new episode is open to everyone in the week it is released, and Noura Premium members can listen to every episode, any time.
Noura Radio is general education, not medical advice. For anything about your own health, your GP, pharmacist or midwife is the right person to ask.
So make yourself a cup of tea, and press play. This is Noura Radio.
Meals from what you already have. Take one photo of your cupboard, your fridge or a few things you have at home, and Noura suggests meals from its own recipes, with your dietary needs respected.
Your photo is not kept. It is read once, and only the list of ingredients stays, on your own phone. Cupboard Scan is part of Noura Premium, with a free taster so you can try it. Find it on the Eat tab.
Noura Radio lives on the Learn tab of the Noura app.
Already have Noura on your home screen? Open it from there, then go to Learn and tap Noura Radio. A link from Instagram opens in your browser, not in the app you added to your home screen.
